How to Get Rid of Facial Warts
Clinically a wart is known as the growth of the Human Pappiloma Virus or the HPV. It is a highly contagious virus and even a slight skin contact can make it grow on your skin. Symptoms of the virus may not be the same in every person though. Some people carry the virus throughout their life without even knowing that they have it. Others may get a wart within a short time after contacting the virus affected area. It usually resolves on its own after some time but some warts tend to last for years and it becomes necessary to treat them.
Facial warts are probably the worst as they compromise your beauty. These appear on face and neck and are smaller in size as compared to plantar warts. They can be skin colored, yellow, brownish, pink or even red in color. These are also known as flat warts due to their appearance. If left untreated, they can grow in clusters and may like look a mole. But the good news is you can treat them just like any other wart. You should be more careful with these while treating so that they won't leave an ugly scar on the pretty face. Some methods for easily removing the facial wart are:
Liquid Nitrogen
The wart can be frozen and burned off by using liquid nitrogen. Wash and dry the wart area and clean the skin around it. Soak a piece of cotton in liquid nitrogen and secure it against the wart area with the help of a bandage. Remove it after two or three weeks to ensure that the wart has been burned during that time. After that, rub the wart area with a foot scrub and remove the dried wart from your skin. This method is painful and should be administered by a doctor.
Duct tape
The duct tape method is applicable to all types of warts. First wash and clean the wart area and cover it with duct tape. Leave the tape on for at least a week. After around 7 days, remove the tape and rub the affected area with a scrub. It will cause you immune system to work against the itching. Repeat this process several times and it will remove the wart permanently. It is one of the most effective home remedy for facial wart removal.
Salicylic acid bandage
The most commonly used treatment for wart removal is salicylic acid. It is easily available in the market and you can use it to remove your facial wart. Wash your face with hot water to make the wart soft. Dry the skin and apply a salicylic acid bandage to the wart area and secure it against it. Leave it overnight and remove the wart with a scrubber in the morning. If it doesn’t work the first time, try it again and it will effectively remove the facial wart without leaving any scars.
